Newsletter Builders

Hey all! I’m just getting my head around all the “chicken and egg” paradoxes of indie publishing.

I want to participate in some Newsletter Builders and Sweeps before I release my Debut in July — I’ll have the cover design back soon and will typset it shortly thereafter.

Does the book need to be published somewhere to be in a big Newsletter sweep like Author XP or CL Cannon? So far I’ve just been doing small excerpt promos through Story Origin and Bookfunnel, but am only in the 100’s of subscribers. Would love to at least hit 500-1000 BEFORE publishing….

Advice/experience?
