Pinterest does work.
Hi All, as some of you are aware, I have been building up my presence on Pinterest. I took a static pin and paid for some promotion I paid $11.10 for a for a few days promotion. The paid promotion was for the first two days of October this year. This is the pin. For the last thirty days it has had 19.66k impressions, and 41 clicks. Not big numbers. However it went viral on it’s own AFTER paid. It has been live for a total of about 7 weeks now.
I still have to solve the click through and outbound click rate as this is really low for 1.01m impressions, and this is a targeting issue with regard to keywords. But my point is that book pins on Pinterest can get in front of a lot of people and if I can get all the funnel logistics solved, then this will be a really great top of funnel channel, especially as i’m still 6 months out from launch next year. Effectively I got over a million pairs of eyes on my pin for the price of a couple of beers. It’s well worth giving pinterest a try, but it is a long game. It takes a good 6 months of nothing but crickets before the algorithm trusts you. I hope this is useful. Vincent
