Platform to Invite People to Launch Party?

Not sure which category to put this question in. So sorry I keep posting you guys - my launch is so close and I cannot find these answers anywhere.

@Thomas Umstattd Jr. had mentioned that using Facebook Groups for launch teams is bad because Amazon can use that information against you for reviews.

Does the same apply if you use Facebook Events to get people to RSVP for your in-person or online launch parties? If FB is not a good option, anyone have any recommendations?
