Should a Substack be topic-focused?

If I am an author with an eclectic array of topics I want to blog about, is Substack still a good candidate for an author newsletter? Or is it better for building a niche audience on a focused subject?

Another way to ask this might be: If I were to blog about 5 different topics, should I start 5 different Substacks instead of having a single one?

The topics aren’t exactly related, but they may all be of interest to certain profiles of people. Tech tips, video gaming reviews / experiences / tips, life hacks, historical or travel tidbits, writing and creativity and art stuff.

Edit: I should note that I’ve scanned through this site for Substack-related posts and the podcast about Substack, but didn’t see this angle addressed much.
