Website and domains

Im creating an author website for my promotional platform as an author. I understand creating a 2nd website for my book is important for SEO. That said I was wondering if I could use the WordPress bluehost and elegant themes website builder and allocate a separate page dedicated to my book and use a separate domain name to point to that page (as a second website) . Would that work for the SEO for my book? That page will point to my Amazon sales page
