What to say to co-ops?

Hey, y’all!

Having a very niche series (Christian MG fantasy, aimed at the HOMESCHOOLER AUDIENCE), I have few ways to plant my series directly before my readers. Co-ops are a popular suggestion, and a lady at church—a homeschooler mom herself—suggested that I reach out to local co-ops and find a way to do something with them to promote myself by way of “giving back” to the homeschool community.

And I will!

…Once I determine what exactly to say and offer, other than, “Hi, I’m a homeschool graduate who has a book series written for fellow homeschoolers!” Or is that good enough? It sounds good to me, but will it come off as selfish, being so direct? Should I offer to speak or do something, or since I’ve never done anything like that, not yet?

And most importantly, what should I say?! I never was part of a co-op, so I have no clue how they function and how authors can interact with them.

Thanks for any help, y’all! :)
