Where to get Reviews outside Amazon?

I choose not to list my books on Amazon, selling direct instead. I put my first book on Goodreads, but they won’t verify me as a Goodreads author since I’m not on Amazon. So, it feels like that’s not a good platform to gain reviews. Or is it still important to be there?

Where should I try to gain reviews? Is there a review plugin I can have on my website? Or is that not the best idea?
