Will AI books and fake reviews drive readers to physical stores and in-person events?

I'm wondering if AI books, along with fake/bought reviews on Amazon, will drive some readers back to physical bookstores and in-person author events?

If you want to avoid AI books or get tired of products with good reviews that turn out to be bad (I was sent a postcard through the mail recently that promised a $30 amazon gift card if I posted a 5-star review of a product I returned due to its poor quality), you might have to return to the vetted books in bookstores, or to books whose authors you’ve met and who seem decent.

At any rate, it does highlight the importance of your own email newsletter—your most loyal readers will know which books that show up under your name are really yours and which aren’t.
