ACX overwhelming response

After months of indecision and a brief flirt with 11ElevenLabs, I decided it was worth making a high-quality audiobook of my new novel and posted an official project on ACX. The response has been amazing. In the last three days, I have gotten 43 auditions, at least 10 of which are really good.

While it has been a pure delight to hear how so many different people interpret my words, I now need to decide which narrator to hire.

Does anyone have any advice for hiring a narrator on ACX? Any lessons learned or things to avoid? The audition request included a sample with four different characters, so I have gotten a pretty good idea of the reader’s ability to perform vastly different voices.
