Audio Option for debut novel

I am in the process of preparing my manuscript for publication in the next few months. It is a Women’s Contemporary Fiction. I’ve polled my email subscribers and about 30% say they prefer audio to print or e-book. I do not have the budget to hire a professional narrator for this first book. I do however, have access to both a professional studio and voice coach if I choose to narrate myself.

My question to all of you would be this: which would be better/worse. To have a somewhat less than professional audio edition or none at all?
