Cover input wanted

Hi All,

I’ve recently received the rights back to my debut book, an inspirational romance. It’s a Christmas story with a Hallmark feel - second chance romance, secrets, and a cozy-mystery sub-plot (without murder). It’s not a rom-com, so I feel like the vector/illustrated covers would be misleading.

As a note - the “thief” leaves a calling card, a twig of holly with an IOU. So, I’d really like holly on the front somehow.

I’ve posted two covers I’ve created. What do/don’t you like? Suggestions? I’ve played around with couples on the front, but those kinds of covers don’t appeal to me (since as a reader, I prefer to imagine them in my head). But, I’m not every reader. 🙂

Here’s a blurb:

Owning her own PR firm is all reporter Stephanie Clark wants for Christmas. But when a last minute decision finds her stranded in Winterberry Falls, VT everything she’s ever believed about her life unravels. Former photojournalist Jason Miller hadn’t planned on being solely responsible for saving his family business from financial ruin. Barely keeping the newspaper in print, he’s desperate for a Christmas miracle - especially since reports of missing Christmas decorations from the town’s most celebrated festival have everyone on edge.

When a desperate knock at the newsroom door brings a ghost from Christmas past back into his life, can Jason make up for his prior behavior without breaking his promise to Stephanie’s father? Will Stephanie’s quest to solve the town’s Christmas caper—and uncover the truth about Jason’s disappearance—cost her everything she’s ever wanted?
