Delivering Digital Audiobook for Reader Magnets
TLDR: Has anyone experimented with giving audio versions of their reader magnets? If so, how did you deliver it?
Long Version:
I’m working on finishing and releasing one or two more reader magnets before putting my attention on my debut novel. I have one reader magnet, but by itself it’s not a good representation of my “brand.” One would be a bundle of my Christmas short stories, and one would be a novelette more in line with the books I’m planning on releasing first.
I love reading aloud, and I really want to go through the process of recording my own audiobooks when the time comes. I’m already planning on narrating some of the short stories I’ve written for my website over the years as practice.
I’m wondering if I can use my reader magnets to practice with as well. I’m thinking by the time I’m ready to go full-force on my book launch plan, I could potentially have multiple audio projects for free alongside the other free stories both on my website and the reader magnet ebooks distributed via StoryOrigin.
I already pay for StoryOrigin for distributing my original reader magnet, so I am planning on continuing to use it when I release my others, but I don’t think they do audiobooks for reader magnets.
Do you know if there’s a way to distribute an audiobook as a reader magnet? The only thing I’m thinking of is using an unlisted YouTube link, but I’m sure there are ways I haven’t seen yet.
