Disturbing Math about Indies

@Thomas Umstattd Jr. — I asked this on the Author Update episode, but it got passed over. There are some recent posts on this account books.on.the.grange called Book Math where this book agent breaks down the cost of publishing indie vs trad. To make a living wage, you have to sell 30k units a year. And with overhead, indies have to sell much more. Also, this seems to go against the latest stats of how books are actually selling. Any comments?
