Evaluating an audiobook deal
I’ve had a company called https://www.ulverscroft.com/ approach me to get five year audiobook rights for my book.
Here’s what they say:
“We would sell to libraries and retail market in both physical and digital formats. For physical, we sell CDs, MP3s and large print books to libraries via standing order plans and for retail it's available for sale on our Reading House website. For downloads, it's also available to libraries via our library digital app, ULibrary and we also sell retail downloads via Audible, Findaway, Bookbeat, Storytel and a host of others!”
They haven’t yet told me what kind of royalty split they’re offering, however, I’m wondering how to evaluate this deal, and what to look out for.
