Hook feedback

I’m currently working on a book proposal for my novel and I’d love feedback on my proposal’s “hook”. I’d love to hear all of your wisdom on this, considering this is big weak spot of mine. Thank you guys so much!

Genre: dystopian sci-fi

Hook 1:

A desperate slave stumbles across a deadly secret: the extraterrestrials ruling society are manifested demons. Can a simple slave expose this deception or will all of mankind be destined to Hell?

Hook 2:

What if the aliens ruling society were instead demons bent on corrupting mankind? This dystopian sci-fi novel is Knox’s Irregulars meets Hideous Beauty.
