Meta pixel problem

I’m not sure where to ask this but since it is website related, I will start here.

Three years ago I built a Shopify store but quickly realized with all the ad-ons required that I would be losing money and closed it down.

I haven’t given this a second thought until this morning. I went to connect a meta pixel to my website for tracking, but it said I can’t because I am still connected to Shopify.

I cannot get into the closed Shopify account. I’ve tried multiple ways and have emailed Shopify.

In the meantime, I am scanning information on turning off the meta pixel in meta business suites and atttaching it to my current website page, or deleting it altogether and creating another one.

Has anyone done any of this? I am almost ready to run ads and I really don’t want to mess up my ads account.

There’s information out there, but I’m unsure of what is reliable.
