Narrating Audiobook with Hindenburg Narrator

Is anyone using Hindenburg Narrator to create an audiobook? I’ve been using Hindenburg Journalist Pro for years for my podcast, but this is my first time using / learning Narrator.

In case anyone else is in the same boat, I found a SUPER helpful You Tube video that is way more helpful than any of the “guide” videos Hindenburg has posted on their site. I wanted to share in case anyone else is trying to learn this new software. (link below)

Also, one pro tip… I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to edit the text of the manuscript in Narrator. I knew if was possible from the video below, but it just wasn’t working for me. UNTIL I realized you have to turn off the “recording” button for the audio channel. (Same place you select which track you want to record into). THEN just click on the text and edit the manuscript!

Second pro tip… Once you’ve uploaded your epub, you can go into “edit text” mode and change the H1, H2 headings for each chapter. This is super helpful for organizing your book sections in the Narrator TOC. I made each chapter heading an H1, subheadings H2. I also added a section for Opening Credits and Closing Credits. Then when I export at the end, the H1 sections will each become an individual audio file.
