Price for Launch Team

My first novel’s release date is 10/22. I’ve been reading up on how to give my launch team reduced pricing for the first three days, then have the price revert back to the normal price that I set up when I uploaded both the e-book and the paperback. I am learning now, that the KU special pricing does not apply to new releases

I feel a bit squemish asking my team to purchase at full price, even though my e-book is on $2.99, and the paperback, for those who want it, is at $12.99. But for the reviews to be validated, I am naturally asking for the purchase.

Does anyone have advice for this? How do most launch team members feel about this? I just participated in a launch, and actually spent more on the paperback than I was comfortable doing, but did it for a friend.
