putting lines in vellum

I have some questions in my devotional and I wanted to add lines for people to write their answers in the print version. I’m formatting in vellum. Whats the best way to put the lines?

When I try to add a space under the question for the lines it messes up the numbering. I tried copy/pasting lines in but it wants to add numbers to the lines.

How do I get around this?
