Question about Cover Artist delivery specs for all 4 formats

Hey there friends,
I’m currently hiring a cover artist to create the hardback, paperback, ebook, and audiobook images for a novel. Can some of you with experience verify these specs I plan on sending to my artist? I will be getting him the Ingram templates once I have the page count finalized. I would highly value/appreciate any input or corrections from those who do this often!

1. Paperback (Full Wrap: Back, Spine, Front)

  • Dimensions: 11.94" wide x 8.75" high (3582 x 2625 pixels)

  • Bleed: 0.125" on all outer edges (top, bottom, left, right). Background art must extend to this edge.

  • Safe Zone: All essential text and artwork must remain at least 0.125" inside the trim lines.

  • Estimated Spine Width: ~0.69" (Must be verified against the IngramSpark generated template).

  • Barcode: Leave a blank space measuring at least 2” wide by 1.2” high in the bottom right corner of the back cover.

  • Color Mode: CMYK

  • Resolution: 300 DPI

  • File Format: PDF

2. Hardback / Case Laminate (Full Wrap)

  • Dimensions: 13.6" wide x 10" high (4080 x 3000 pixels)

  • Wrap/Bleed: 0.625" on all outer edges (IngramSpark requires slightly more wrap than standard printers to fold over the thick cover boards).

  • Hinge: Approximately 0.39" groove on the front and back covers next to the spine. Keep text and essential art strictly out of this area.

  • Estimated Spine Width: ~0.69" for the page block + board allowance (Must be strictly aligned to the IngramSpark generated template).

  • Barcode: Leave a blank space measuring at least 2” wide x 1.2” high in the bottom right corner of the back cover.

  • Color Mode: CMYK

  • Resolution: 300 DPI

  • File Format: PDF

3. eBook (Front Cover Only)

  • Dimensions: 1600 pixels wide x 2560 pixels high (1.6:1 aspect ratio).

  • Color Mode: RGB

4. Audiobook (Square Format)

  • Dimensions: 2400 x 2400 pixels (minimum) up to 3200 x 3200 pixels.

  • Color Mode: RGB

  • Resolution: 300 DPI (72 DPI absolute minimum).

  • File Format: JPEG

Required Deliverables from Artist:

  • Final print-ready PDFs for the Paperback and Hardback formats (sized exactly to the provided IngramSpark templates).

  • Final high-resolution JPEGs for the eBook and Audiobook formats.

  • Raw, fully layered working files (e.g., PSD).
