Tilman picks up a passenger on a last-minute voyage across the sea before the winter solstice and finds the waters between Eifion and Eadburga to be more dangerous than he ever imagined. Hunted by men and beast alike, he must find out what and who it is he is transporting before it’s too late. Or just dump him overboard, except it’s never that simple.
