Splitting royalties from Amz?

Does anyone have experience with splitting royalties from Amazon sales? Like between co-authors or an author and illustrator? From my initial research, it looks like kdp won’t split and distribute the royalties to both parties, only the party who “publishes” the book. Just curious how co-authors handle this situation. Thanks for any help!
