Brown Girls Book Club: "Scam or Not?"

This time, I’m actually not sure.

I got an email from something called the Brown Girls Book Club. They have a FB page and a legit-looking meetup page. Here is a link to the meet-up page.

I responded to the first email and got an intelligent response back - not asking for money. But I don’t trust anything now.

I can send the original email if you want to read it. I’m happy to do a video book club meeting, but I don’t want to go down a weird rabbit hole.

Thoughts? TIA! @Thomas Umstattd Jr. ?
