Another scammer trying to steal my Anthropic money?

I got this email on two of my emails — publisher email, and personal. Scam? Or someone trying to muddy the waters, like the Claims Hero jerks back when the Anthropic “settlement” was first announced?

“I saw that you registered the copyright of some of your books as a group and that they weren't included in the Anthropic settlement.

The Anthropic settlement didn't include my group-registered books either, so I found a lawyer who might be interested in filing a suit on our behalf.

If you're interested, please let me know. Thanks!”

I registered my 4 stolen books through the official claims site, and the registrations were acknowledged. What does it mean that they were registered “as a group”? And how does this chick know that they AREN’T included in the Anthropic settlement?

Where does this person find a list of names of all the authors and supposed groups, and who will get paid and who won’t? Has a list of “legitimate” authors and books been released? I have Googled a few times looking for updates — the most recent being that Anthropic MIGHT start paying $$$ in September, not August as originally stated. Nothing else has appeared saying some people won’t have their claims acknowledged or receive their part of the settlement.

Does anyone know anything about this? Has anyone else gotten this email?

I haven’t been able to listen to Author Update since before the Realm Makers conference, so if this topic was covered …. I’m woefully behind.

Help?
