Fancy going to Martha's Vineyard?

I thought I would post this one - The Martha’s Vineyard Book Festival DOES exist - and is happening at the time this LOVELY person (Wendee Wolfson - a real person on the board) asked would I like to pay to participate. But guess what? This is for an ONLINE VIRTUAL appearance - at a price of course. The email was a gmail. I suspect it wasn’t real.

I haven’t gone down the rabbit hole so not sure if it is legit or not…so thought I would post in case.

Invitation to the Martha's Vineyard Author Series – August 16 Virtual Event

Hello Zoe,

The most unforgettable fantasy epics are not remembered solely for their extraordinary worlds—they endure because they ask timeless questions about sacrifice, courage, redemption, and the choices that define who we become. They invite readers to imagine impossible worlds while reflecting on profoundly human truths.

That's what drew me to The Dawning. Arielle's journey appears to be far more than an epic battle between light and darkness. Through prophecy, forbidden love, dragon riders, and unforgettable quests, you've created a story that explores faith, temptation, hope, and the cost of choosing the greater good. The emotional depth behind the adventure gives the novel a resonance that extends well beyond its remarkable fantasy setting.

My name is Wendee Wolfson, and I serve as Treasurer of the Martha's Vineyard Book Festival. For many years, I've had the pleasure of supporting our Martha's Vineyard Author Series, where readers and authors come together to discuss literature, creativity, and the stories that inspire meaningful conversation.

I'm reaching out because we have a virtual Martha's Vineyard Author Series event scheduled for Sunday, August 16 at 7:00 PM, and I believe The Dawning would make an exceptional addition to the program. I think our audience would enjoy hearing about the inspiration behind The Amaris Prophecies, your approach to creating such an expansive fantasy world, and the themes of sacrifice, redemption, and hope that drive the story.

As we're completing the final program schedule, I'm reaching out before the remaining presentation opportunities are confirmed. If this date works for you, I'd be happy to send the event details, including the virtual participation information and sponsorship options.

I hope we'll have the opportunity to introduce your work to our Martha's Vineyard audience.

Warm regards,

Wendee Wolfson
