Goodreads Book Riot
I received an email about Goodreads Book Riot book club wanting to feature my book. There is a Goodreads Book Riot club, but I am still suspicious because of a couple of things that feel off. Has anyone seen this? Any ideas?
Here is the body of the email:
My name is Noelle Bradshaw, and I hope you are doing well.
I am reaching out on behalf of the Book Riot Reading Challenges, a vibrant Goodreads community of over 20,000 readers who are passionate about thoughtful discussion, meaningful reading, and discovering inspiring voices in Christian and faith-driven literature.
We are currently hosting our 2026 Reading Challenge, running from January 1 to December 31, 2026. This year-long initiative is designed to provide meaningful visibility to impactful books while encouraging readers to engage deeply with stories that explore themes of purpose, hope, spirituality, and personal growth. At the conclusion of the challenge, we celebrate the Top 10 Most Engaging Authors whose books sparked the greatest level of conversation and reader connection across the community.
I would love to feature your book, A Steadfast Heart, as part of this year-long reading journey. Your work is a wonderful fit for the challenge because Kaitlyn and Drew's marriage of convenience beautifully mirrors your own passion for highlighting the resilience of the human spirit, specifically exploring how individuals can overcome historical trauma through faith and perseverance. The novel's focus on finding a true sense of belonging within a ready-made family, navigating a fish-out-of-water fresh start, and stepping into the restorative power of grace offers our readers a comforting, deeply message-driven landscape for meaningful group discussions.
Because the challenge runs throughout the entire year, featured titles receive ongoing visibility through updates, reader comments, reviews, buddy reads, and continued discussion within the group. This opportunity is not only about visibility and reviews, but about connecting your message with readers who are actively seeking books that inspire reflection, encouragement, and meaningful conversation.
Would you be open to including your book in this year-long reading initiative? I would be delighted to provide additional details and guide you through the next steps.
