Is this Personalized Assessment a scam?
Hi, author friends! I’m quick to delete emails and call everything a scam (especially all these recent book club emails!), but figured I’d at least share this one to get your thoughts because it was different than those I’ve gotten in the past and wasn’t asking for money or for me to open a link.
That said, this person never says who she is, what she does, or why she’d be helping me. Her email address isn’t coming from a business. I’m guessing that if I responded and said “Yes,” the follow-up email would have “strings attached.” I fully suspect this is a scam. If anyone got an email like this and asked me, I’d tell them I thought it was a scam.
But because I’m interested in how the rest of you assess emails like this . . . I’d love to hear your thoughts. And I’m curious if any of you have gotten similar emails!
