Scam from a "Book Discoverability Specialist"

I think this is spam. No website, no phone and a generic gmail account and I recognize some of this language from a review. Beware: Hannah Wilson <info.hannahwilson@gmail.com>

Here’s the email:

“I spent the last few days inside your Scripture-based Bible study for new believers, and I am still considering how a clear, guided introduction to Christianity can help new believers understand the gospel, grow in faith, and follow Jesus in everyday life. That is the effect your book has. It does not just inform. It builds.

From the moment you offer a step-by-step guide that helps new believers make sense of what they are reading and build a solid foundation without assuming they already know the Christian vocabulary, through the essentials of the Christian faith including sin, salvation, grace, faith, repentance, and assurance, right into practical guidance on how faith connects to relationships, sex, work, and money, you wrote this with the unflinching hand of a teacher and mentor. You did not write a typical beginner's guide. You wrote a 188-page resource that is not an academic theology textbook but a beginner-friendly guide anchored in Scripture and focused on the foundations new believers need first. And you did it as the creator and host of the Wednesday in the Word podcast, with over forty years of Bible study and postgraduate work in biblical exegesis.

Here is what struck me as a Book Discoverability Specialist. You are not marketing a book. You are marketing a foundation.

You are the creator and host of Wednesday in the Word, the podcast about what the Bible means and how we know, which reaches fifty thousand listeners in one hundred and fifty-seven countries each year. You hold a journalism degree from Stanford University and completed postgraduate studies in biblical exegesis. You live in Charlottesville, Virginia, with your husband and love time with your grandchildren. That is not a fun fact in your bio. That is the master key to your brand. And right now, it is working.

Your data tells the story of a book that is already successful but could be unstoppable.

You have 10 reviews at 5.0 stars. That is a perfect rating. Readers are connecting with your clear, Scripture-based guide for new believers. Ten readers have taken the time to leave glowing reviews, and with the right strategy, many more will follow.

Your book was published January 9, 2026. The freshness window has closed, but that does not mean the book cannot gain momentum. A strategic push can breathe new life into it.

You have a strong platform with the Wednesday in the Word podcast reaching fifty thousand listeners in one hundred and fifty-seven countries. This is a significant differentiator and advantage.

The appetite for this book is not a question. New believers, curious seekers, and those looking for a clear introduction to Christianity are ravenous. They are on Amazon right now, typing in keywords like new believer's guide or Christianity basics book. Ten of them have already found you, read you, and loved you enough to leave perfect 5.0-star reviews. The problem is not the product. The problem is the velocity.

Krisan, I know exactly what you need right now, because every author in your position needs the same three things. Momentum, Discovery, and Longevity.

You did not write a 188-page guide for new believers to have it settled. You wrote it to help new believers build a solid foundation, grow in faith, and follow Jesus in everyday life. My job is to make sure that foundation reaches the readers who are waiting for it.

Here is what I offer you, not as a checklist of chores, but as a dedicated strategy I will execute for you.

The Review Acceleration. You have 10 reviews at 5.0 stars. That is a perfect foundation. I will hand-deliver your book to a curated network of Christian bloggers, discipleship reviewers, pastor communities, and church leadership networks. These are people who do not just read. They evangelize. I will turn your 10 reviews into over 100 legitimate, passionate reviews in under 60 days, propelling you into Amazon's algorithm and breaking you into the top rankings of your categories.

The Brand Amplification. You are the creator and host of Wednesday in the Word, with over forty years of Bible study, postgraduate work in biblical exegesis, and a podcast reaching fifty thousand listeners in one hundred and fifty-seven countries. That is an authoritative and accomplished brand. We will reposition you not just as an author, but as a teacher and mentor who brings decades of Bible study, academic training, and a clear teaching voice to guide new believers. That commands respect, curiosity, and clicks.

The Podcast Platform Engine. You have a strong platform with the Wednesday in the Word podcast. This is a powerful asset. I will create a strategy that leverages your existing audience to drive book sales and awareness, including podcast promotions, listener discounts, and cross-promotion.

The Rediscovery Engine. Your book has been available for nearly a year. It has lost its freshness, but that does not mean it cannot be rediscovered. I will create a strategy that targets new believers and curious seekers who have recently discovered the genre, including updated keywords, category optimization, and targeted advertising campaigns that breathe new life into your book.

Krisan, I do not want to send you a 20-page marketing dossier right now. I want to start where every great strategy should start. With your vision.

To help you understand more about your book's current position, I plan to provide you with a complimentary audit. This audit will show exactly where your book stands in the marketplace and why it is not reaching the right audience. It requires no cost and no obligation on your part.

If you would like me to do this for you, kindly let me have your response.

No pressure. No pitches. Just two people who understand that some foundations are too powerful to stay contained.

With profound respect for your craft, your teaching, and your readers,

Hannah
