Watch out for this scam.

Hey, guys,

I just thought I should share this with you all in case anyone else receives the same email I did. I got a message from kdp claiming they would do a free translation of any one book of my choice and that this would double my sales.

Since most scam emails are full of typos, misspelled words, and grammatical errors and this email was not, I actually took a second look at it. The main thing that made me hesitate was the fact that it was too great an offer to be true, but with AI, things like creating an acceptable translation are getting easier all the time, so it might be realistic. However, I then noticed the email address was “kdppublisher.” This is obviously not the kdp address, so I knew it was a scam. No telling what they intend to do with your manuscript if you send it to them.

I’m sure most of you are more astute than I am and would not have even given it a second thought, but, just in case, here’s your warning.

Thanks for all the great advice I receive from all of you. This website has been a wealth of information for me.
