So Excited to Have a STRATEGY

This conference was helpful in so many ways. First, I’ll share my concrete takeaway. One of our lessons was about tactics vs. strategy. Tactics are good and necessary, but they need an overall strategy if you want to move forward. The lessons at the conference helped me solidify this, starting with a new reader magnet!

The less concrete takeaway, but still just as valuable - I was talking with Tiffany on The Clean Romance Podcast and came up with the perfect visual. Sometimes being a solopreneur (which is what we are as authors), feels like trying to get across a lake on one of those pedal boats. The boat already barely moves no matter how fast you pedal, but lately I’ve been feeling like mine is broken, and no matter how hard I spin the pedals, I’m just going in circles. The conference was like doing this with a bunch of friends, and I’m no longer alone on the lake. But even better, someone with a better boat has tossed me a line and has pulled me back onto a straighter path.
