What an amazing conference!

I am still blown away by all that I got out of the Novel Marketing Conference. I have to admit, I mainly registered because my grandkids (and their parents) live near Austin. I liked the idea of writing off parts of my family visit as business expenses on my taxes. Also, I’ve known Thomas for years, and I know he is super knowledgeable about a lot of things and always entertaining. But … I don’t have a novel to market. So I figured I’d just pick up a few ideas that I could maybe implement someday when I do have a novel to promote.

But WOW. I mean, seriously, WOW! I got tons of ideas for promoting my upcoming second edition of Proofreading Secrets of Best-Selling Authors (nonfiction, not a novel!). I was inspired to update my very old website (after I take Thomas’s free course on that subject). And during the pitch workshop, I came up with a fantastic new idea for strengthening my WIP’s main character’s inner motivation. I also met a lot of awesome new colleagues.

I am SO glad I attended this conference. Thank you, Thomas! And thanks to all the other people who made it possible and made it so incredibly valuable.
